Where did you get that list?   Where did you get that list?

The Weekly Worksheet is to be used as a job sheet. This is for children 8 and up. Everything in the room is on the list. Your children will not be able to say to you, "I didn't know that's what I was supposed to do…"  It is be used to teach children to appreciate work and the satisfaction of doing a good job. At the end of the month the child receives a paycheck. This is also a good opportunity to teach Gross and Net earnings. Gross earnings are total of earned dollars. Net earnings are what is left over after all necessary extras are taken out first ( i.e., tithes, savings, bills and deductions).

Work sheets include all working areas. There are also blank work sheets that can be filled out as needed. There is strict accountability on the child's part. He must mark off job that is assigned as he finishes it. Both Male and Female children should be taught to clean all rooms. Once lists are handed in mom checks the work and deducts a set $ amount for each job not finished as she taught the child to do. For a while you may not owe much. The children will learn quickly what is expected. You will soon have the cleanest house on the block!  (happily and cheerfully)

Debbie,

I enjoyed your seminar at the annual conference. You not only seem to have an "inspired" program for cultivating family harmony, as you say, but also you're a wonderful and entertaining speaker.  You were right when you said most of us probably have part of this program already in place at home. I bought "Chorganizers" last year, which has helped me in assigning chores and working with my small children to teach them how things are done. That's why I had to think about it awhile before buying your book. However, the attitude in which the kids do their chores is far from "Happy and Cheerful." Just yesterday as I worked with my almost 6 year old to fold one load of laundry (giving him only kids sized things to fold), he whined, "Mom you're working me to death!" And he is usually my happiest and most cheerful child! Since Saturday, I've seen countless other times when your system would have helped. I'm sorry I didn't pick up a copy at the conference! Please rush me a copy and I will share the workshop tape with my friends! Sherry N. Minnesota
